And on his farm he grows some ORGANIC SOFT FRUIT

ORGANIC
STRAWBERRIES
I have planted a few
organic strawberries this year, two varieties - one for an early crop and
one everbearer. A few organic strawberries may be available in July 2006.

ORGANIC
RASPBERRIES
I produced a lot of 'JOAN SQUIRES' autumn organic raspberries this year
but the 'shelf life' was not as good as I would have wished. I have now
employed an agronomist to address this problem and I expect quality to
improve dramatically in 2006. I produced about 1.5 tons in 2005; with my
recent plantings, production of organic raspberries should double in 2006.
Anticipating a crop of 3 tons I am looking for new markets and/or a
processor to take them fresh or frozen. Is there anybody out there?

ORGANIC
GOOSEBERRIES
I grow a variety called 'INVICTA' which is green, has excellent flavour and large fruit. I also grow a red dessert variety
called 'ROKULA'. I produced about 1.5 tons in 2005; and my recent plantings
should double this in 2006. Organic gooseberries are deliciously sweet but difficult and painful to pick.
Gooseberries are available from mid June for 1 month. As above, I am
looking for new markets for this organic fruit.

ORGANIC
REDCURRANTS
I have planted some Organic Redcurrants in Autumn 2005 - these should
fruit in 2007.
|
ORGANIC
BLACKBERRIES
Organic Blackberries were also planted in Autumn 2005 - these should
fruit in 2007.
I will be looking for markets for the Organic
Redcurrants and Blackberries.

FARMER
KIT'S "ROSIE"
Rosie is a blend of pure Organic Raspberry Juice (steam
extracted) and pure Organic Apple Juice, nothing added and nothing taken
away. The fruit is grown here at Farmer Kits Farm near Saffron Walden.
The juice is a delicious pink drink on its own, but I like it best on a
hot summers day diluted with home made lemonade!
It is available in 75cl bottles and convenient 37.5cl bottle.
The half bottle saves fridge space and waste. Its too good to waste!
